Global and country wise Climate Change policies adoption

Image
Some of the key aspects that are linked with the climate change policies are carbon pricing, renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate financing, sustainable transportation, building codes, industrial emission regulations and standards, clean energy initiatives and incentives, waste management, water management, agriculture and land usage efficiency, afforestation, etc. list of some common climate change policies with briefing as below: Carbon pricing: This includes policies such as carbon taxes and cap-and-trade systems, which put a price on carbon emissions in order to reduce them. Renewable energy standards: This includes policies that require a certain percentage of energy to be generated from renewable sources. Energy efficiency standards: This includes policies that set minimum energy efficiency standards for buildings and appliances. Clean energy incentives: This includes policies such as tax credits, grants, and rebates that encourage the use of clean energy. Climate adaptat...

Design and Analysis of the structural frame for the solar modules for flexible handling

Image
Designing and analysing the structural frame for solar modules that allow for flexible handling requires careful consideration of both mechanical and environmental factors. Below is a step-by-step guide that outlines the design and analysis process: 1. Material Selection Aluminum Alloy: Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and has good strength. Steel (Galvanized or Stainless): High strength, but heavier than aluminum. Suitable for harsh environments. Composites (e.g., Fiberglass): Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, with good flexibility, though usually more expensive. Analysis: Perform material property comparison, including tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and cost analysis. 2. Structural Frame Design Modular Structure: Design the frame in a modular fashion, allowing for easy assembly, disassembly, and reconfiguration. This enhances flexibility. Adjustable Tilt Mechanism: Incorporate an adjustable tilt mechanism to maximize solar efficiency based on sun positioning. Support...

Solar Cell efficiency with new polymer devices

Image
India is witnessing a new chapter in the growth of the renewable sector, mainly in the solar sector. Hence, any new breakthrough in the field of solar cells and solar power generation is beneficial for India. New technology is being developed in the University of Chicago within the confines of its chemistry laboratory by Professor “Luping Yu”. A new kind of solar panel was designed and manufactured which has a higher efficiency when compared with the currently running modules used for power generation. The given polymer solar cell consists of a new polymer, called "PID2". The new polymer improves the efficiency of electrical power generation by 15 per cent when added to a standard polymer-fullerene mixture. New light has been shed on solar power generation using devices made with polymers. Researchers identified a new polymer a type of large molecule that forms plastics and other familiar materials which improved the efficiency of solar cells. The group also determined th...
