Technology development in the timeline

From the past years technologies, Up-gradations is changing man’s life into a new direction in developing efficient and effective products and the process will go on with more unique changes in the technology. There are new developments that you can find in the electricity and energy sector which is effecting the life of the man in different ways.

From the early man to modern man the change in life style has improved a lot with different lessons and experiences to step ahead for the improvement.

Electricity had played a key role in the man’s life for better development but it also has both positives and negative shades. We are installing the renewable like solar wind and biomass from past 20 years and the capacities need to be increases further.

Limitations in Renewable(s)

Solar: Efficiency is one of the key draw back which is around 18-24% and it has to be increase and lots of R&D is taking place in efficiency, transparent cells, biological solar cells etc. But different space organisations are using the solar cell in satellites. I think if the space organisation can able to share their technology (Just like “Indian Space Research Organisation – ISRO” shared their Battery Technology) to the market which can able to run the solar plant at 49-60% efficiency cells which will be a great break through and we can reduce the climate change.

Wind: Cost factor, Land suitable for wind-turbine installation must compete with alternative uses for the land, which might be more highly valued than electricity generation, Causes noise pollution or aesthetic pollution which is produced by the blades (Some kind of noise cancellation methods or techniques which are to be developed to resolve this kind of issues- this is a major issue and many case studies and documentary are made), Blades are damaging the wildlife (mostly the birds). Blade-less Vertical Turbine are coming into market which are economical and efficient which are resolving the above mentioned issues or the challenges.

Biomass: Most of the biomass units are running under load, few and shut downed due to lesser availability of different kind of fuels and installed capacity is very less when compare to solar and wind. Due to less availability of biomass residue, collecting the agricultural residue from farmers with a minimum price is a key issue. Different research programs are taking place in identify the right location to establish the biomass plants.

In this process different kinds of pollution and climate change effect is taking place around the globe which is in a critical stage. We need to come up with a better strategy and planning in reducing the damage of the ecosystem and use the best strategies and models which are developed by the Nobel winners and use them for the good as an open source.
